Hiking is a great way to get outside, get some exercise, and explore the area. In and around Green Valley, Arizona, there are many hiking spots, with trails designed for hikers of all levels. Check out some of the best places to go for a hike in Green Valley.

 

Bog Springs Trail

 

The Bog Springs Trail is a short loop that takes you through green grasses and by bubbling springs. It’s right near Bog Springs Campground and offers the opportunity to see birds and other wildlife. There are several overlooks with some great views of Madera Canyon and some panoramic view that stretch as far as the Baboquivari Mountains.

 

Madera Canyon Nature Trail

 

This 5.3-mile trail sees moderate traffic and features beautiful wildflowers. It’s an out-and-back trail that is good for all skill levels, just make sure you leave a few hours to explore. It’s not difficult, but there are several elevation changes. The Madera Canyon Nature Trail is kid-friendly, and you can even bring your four-legged hikers along as long as you keep them on a leash.

 

Josephine Saddle via Super Trail and Old Baldy

 

The Super Trail and Old Baldy loop is a great trail with some beautiful views and a nice stopping point at Josephine Saddle. It’s a steady climb up the south-facing slope of Mt. Wrightson, and loops around the south side of the mountain. The loop runs for just over 6 miles and is a moderately difficult trail.
